ASDA’s Annual Session 2013 is only 6 weeks away! I’m sure you’re dying to know the theme of the president’s gala so you can go shopping ASAP. You heard me right, the president’s dinner dance has been officially changed to the president’s gala! This is a formal event to honor ASDA’s 2012-13 president: Colleen Greene. The dress is cocktail attire but don’t worry, there will still be dinner and dancing. Wear your nicest suit or your little black dress to “The World Awaits” President’s Gala. After all, the world awaits your entry into the profession of dentistry. So many of you have traveled the world on outreach trips or traveled to your US dental school from another country. Inspired by the connectedness of the world, this year’s theme celebrates diversity.
So what to wear?! Saturday night is your one night to truly dress up. Be sure to layer your business attire earlier in the week because meeting room temperatures can fluctuate. You’ll be taking chapter photos on the red carpet at Friday’s Gold Crown Awards, so it’s a good day to wear that new skirt suit. But Saturday night is when you can really class it up. We’ve provided options below for both men and women. Use these looks as guidelines but don’t feel obligated to spend money on something new. A classic black dress or your best suit and tie will do just fine. Leave a comment and let us know what you plan to wear at the gala!
1.Ludlow suit in Italian wool, J. Crew; 2. Gingham silk skinny tie; Banana Republic; 3. Citizen Watch in black leather, Zappos; 4. Kenneth Cole wingtips, Nordstrom.
