The council on education and licensure is excited to present the second annual Student Research Poster Session! Last year, the participants and council agreed that this session was a great experience. We invite all members to submit an abstract for the 2013 Student Research Poster Session taking place at the Annual Session on March 8 in Atlanta. If you are currently doing research or have done research in the past, this is your chance to share your findings and hone your presentation skills.
Send your abstract with your completed application (dean’s signature required) by September 17, 2012 to Posters@ASDAnet.org
Come and represent your school! One of our last year winners said, “after I returned I got some recognition at the school via publication about the award in the school newsletter.” Getting involved with research early in your career will open doors to many more opportunities. As one of the winners stated, “the poster session was a great way for me to improve my presentation skills by having to speak not only to judges but also to the students who stopped by.” You will have the chance to received individual feedback on your design and presentation by experts in our field. In addition, it never hurts to add extra accomplishments to your CV.
As the late Neil Armstrong once said, “research is creating new knowledge.” Be a part of the creation at next year’s annual session.
