Talking Dentistry with President Obama

If you could ask President Obama one question, what would it be? Dr. Ben Burris, a dentist from Arkansas, had that opportunity. Here’s what he asked:

Well, sir, I’m reasonably familiar with the current and proposed legislature as it applies to dentistry and oral health.  And my question is, what’s your vision for how dentistry will fit into your larger framework for health care reform?

ADA News called Dr. Burris to ask him about the experience. Read what he said here. Meanwhile, ASDA fan Keith Jones posted a link to the video on our Facebook fan page. Nice job, Keith! Since Keith did such a good job sniffing out the news and he made this week’s post, I’m sending him an ASDA goodie bag. If you have a news bite or something post-worthy feel free to e-mail me at Kim@asdanet.org. If you make it into a post, I’ll send you a goodie bag!

It’s  cool how one little question can turn into a pretty big deal in the dental community. Check out what Dr. Burris and Obama talked about and tell us what you think by commenting on this post. The video below is quite lengthy. Obama doesn’t get to Dr. Burris’ question until about 38 minutes into it.
