Dear ASDA, It would be great if you could also post some news for foreign trained dentists and for dental residents.

Dear ASDA, we would like to see maybe a few contests. Submit a video to win, and then let the readers vote on their favorite. These are always fun and a GREAT way to get readers engaged. Thanks for everything you do! Tom Mattern, Phoenix, Arizon - Desert Dentistry

At Park Place Free Dental Clinic , Norfolk, VA where senior dental studets spend a few days a week on rotation, I was intrigued by one special female student. She told me at first introduction the she is a "foreign studies student". That went right over my head. At lunch , one day, we had a chance to explore her foreign background and culture. I discovered that she was a foreign trained dentist with experience....I guess her advanced skill was what got my eye the first day. She then explained that in order for a foreign trained dentist to practice in the US that dentist MUST graduate from a US dental school. She began in her Junior year at VCU in Richmond and is now in her last few months. It was a great pleasure sharing skills. At VCU there are a lot of students with various ethnic backgrounds in all classes.
