Volunteering [with ASDA] rocks

There are so many ways to volunteer with ASDA. You can volunteer at your local chapter as a board member, a fundraising chair or the newsletter editor. Or you can volunteer in the many outreach projects hosted by ASDA chapters. But you can also volunteer for national ASDA. That’s right, you can! Every ASDA member is encouraged to get involved on a national level. You’ll meet dental students from different schools all across the country and you’ll gain an invaluable perspective on organized dentistry.

Check out this page of ASDA’s website for more information on volunteering on a national level. 40+ national leaders are flying in to Chicago today for the spring council meetings. They’ll take the resolutions passed at Annual Session and the action items on ASDA’s strategic plan and turn them into real work that benefits the organization.

What’s the easiest way to get involved with national ASDA? Write! You can write for this blog, ASDA News or Mouth by filling out this form. If you’re an ASDA member, we’d love to publish you!

Next week is national volunteer week. Make sure to take time to thank the volunteers that make your ASDA chapter tick. Already have a great recognition program at your chapter? Tell us your ideas in the comments below!
