Are you excited for Give Kids A Smile? It’s a signature program of the American Dental Association Foundation. This year’s kickoff is February 3, and a number of dental schools will host events. If you’re participating, here are four things you should know!
- This year marks the 15th anniversary of Give Kids A Smile. Thanks to more than 550,000 volunteers, Give Kids A Smile has provided no-cost oral health services to 5.5 million underserved children. Dental students who participate in Give Kids A Smile are starting their career as part of an amazing community anchored in its philanthropic spirit and drive to give back!
- If you plan to post on social media – including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – during a Give Kids A Smile event, use the #GKAS hashtag (and make sure you have proper release forms signed by any kids appearing in your photos). And don’t forget to ‘like’ the Give Kids A Smile Facebook page.
- We want to hear from you and share your awesome work! If you take photos at a Give Kids A Smile event, please visit the Promotional Resources page on ADAFoundation.org to download a photo release form that names the ADAF and the ADA as permitted users of the photos. Be sure to provide a signed form along with any photos you submit!
