Professional lobbyists are paid influencers. Their job is to influence lawmakers on behalf of an organization. Of course, networking is the cornerstone of lobbying. ASDA asked former ADA lobbyist Michael Brzica to speak at National Leadership Conference this past November. In case you missed the meeting, we had Michael distill some of his networking wisdom into four key points. Watch the video below to glean networking tips from a professional lobbyist.
For more networking videos and tips, visit the Networking 101 page on ASDA’s website. You’ll even find a networking presentation delivered at the first National Leadership Conference. Chapter leaders, consider using this information to hold a networking lunch-n-learn at your school.
Tell us what networking obstacles you face in the comment below. We may just answer your question in a future Mingle Monday!
