Interested in new ideas to bolster your predental extracurriculars or to introduce to your local predental club? On January 7, 2015 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. CT, ASDA will offer a free Predental Idea Exchange in a webinar format where student representatives from the Ohio State University, University of Wisconsin, Virginia Tech and University of Central Florida predental clubs will share innovative ideas and practices pertaining to their clubs. Several topics will be covered, including:
- Leadership development, training and transitions
- Community outreach
- Member communications and recruitment
- Fundraising
- Activities for ASDA Predental Week
This will be a great opportunity to connect with predentals from different schools and hear new ideas to introduce into your own predental club. Perhaps the discussion will motivate you to start up a new club of your own! Sign up for this valuable opportunity!
In addition, be sure to check out ASDA’s Predental Week from February 8-14. During this week, ASDA chapters and predental clubs nationwide will be offering resources and hosting special events to benefit the predental members of ASDA. Some of these resources include free webinars on topics like choosing the right dental school and non-traditional paths to dental school. Some of these events provided by chapters include panel discussions, meet-and-greets, hands-on workshops, dental school tours and more. It’s important to make early connections with your local dental schools to get your foot in the door when application cycles come around! Contact the dental school nearest you to find out what exciting events you can expect during Predental Week. New members that join during this week will be eligible for prizes like an iPad mini and gift cards from Visa and Amazon.
