During my senior year of dental school, I had the opportunity to travel to eight GPR interviews. They were scattered across the country from the East coast to California. So in order to balance dental school and interviews, I had to hack it with these tips!
Eat well to study well. That’s been my philosophy through dental school and as I begin my fourth year, it’s held up well. As the fall season kicks off, you may find yourself feeling a variety of emotions. Feeling any and all of these things is totally normal! In fact, being able to identify and articulate your feelings is just one important aspect of emotional wellness.
It’s important to highlight emotional wellness as its own entity because it deserves as much attention as physical, intellectual or any other aspect of wellness.
Successfully navigating the halls of dental school requires poise, commitment, and most importantly, organization. Progressing through our education, we have gradually been granted more personal responsibility to achieve our goals as we moved from high school to college and beyond. This responsibility has translated for an increasing need in one main area: organization.

School is back in session! You know what that means? Another year of late night studying, junk food binges, red-eye lab sessions, and caffeine runs to Starbucks. Each year of dental school presents its own challenges, and it never gets easier. But that doesn’t mean you should be discouraged or stressed over it. I do not consider myself to be a seasoned dental student. However, I do feel there are a few nuggets of wisdom I’ve acquired over the past two years of dental school that are worth sharing.
