As a predental, there are so many resources and organizations to help aid in your success and pathway to leadership and dental school, especially ASDA. As an ASDA member, students have access to tons of benefits and opportunities that allow them to flourish, such as leadership roles at the local, district and national levels.
Annual Session is packed with learning opportunities. The House of Delegates, breakout sessions, idea exchanges and the Dental Expo are sure to teach you a lot, but that’s just half of it. Connecting with new colleagues could be the greatest learning experience of all.
I still remember the first ASDA event I attended. It was the District 2 meeting during fall 2014. Since Stony Brook’s ASDA chapter was hosting and that’s where I attend undergrad, it made sense for me to go. To be completely honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Despite the fact I had been a predental member of ASDA for two years, I hadn’t attended any district events. However, by the end of the meeting, I was motivated to do more with my membership. I had officially caught “ASDA Fever.“

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve undoubtedly heard the term “ASDA Fever.” For me, it raised several questions. What is it? Is it communicable? Is it an actual fever? Where does one contract it?

With Annual Session 2015 is closely approaching, you are probably thinking about what lab work you have to finish up before you go (those crowns won’t prep themselves), what dapper outfits to pack (a suit a day keeps the fashion police away) and what Boston sights to see (I recommend Boston Public Gardens, Newbury Street and Fenway Park).
